Welcome Ian Cruickshank – Program Manager

Rubicon Associates is delighted to welcome our newest team member Ian Cruickshank as Program Manager.

Ian is a Defence veteran, having served in the Royal Australian Navy for 22 years as a Marine Engineer where he held charge positions at sea and oversaw maintenance management programs as part of his service.

Outside of his Naval service, Ian has 28 years’ experience working in the defence and commercial industries in roles such as ILS Manager for the Collins Class, Engineering Manager and Test & Trials Manager for the Huon Class Minehunter MHC,, Program Assurance Services to Hobart Class and ANZAC Class, as well as other roles within the Department of Defence, FISSO and CASG.

In addition, during his extensive and broad career, Ian has been involved in numerous other projects including the SEA 1654 – AOR as Project Engineering Manager, leading the engineering function for SEA 2400 – Strategic Military Survey Capability, as a design engineer on the JFLA HAZCHEM Remediation and Reduction Program and within the ADF Fuel Services Branch, and as a Principal Consultant and Project Manager with ATSA on the CCLAN Project.

Outside of Defence, Ian has worked as an Engineering Manager in rail with experience in design through to disposal of locomotives and rolling stock.

He is a graduate of Monash University and Footscray Institute of Technology and postgraduate of the Joint Services Staff College (JSSC).

Ian has been engaged to strengthen Rubicon Associates business processes across all our programs to ensure the best outcome for our clients.

His depth of experience will contribute to our commitment to shaping the capability and success of Australia’s future Naval and Maritime industry.
