Wet Exhaust Removal Compartment Re-Zoning
Navy Vessel Class: HMAS Choules is designed to provide platform capability to accommodate helicopters and landing craft used to get landing forces and equipment ashore. The amphibious capability is a key element of the Australian Defence Force’s (ADF) military operations, and provides the ability to conduct Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) throughout the region.
Services
Rubicon Associates were engaged to develop the design for a vessel wet exhaust compartment re-zoning project.
Scope
The work package included developing required preliminary and detailed design documentation, test and trial procedures and installation specifications, and update of affected Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) documentation. The project was a multi-disciplinary effort carried out under tight timeframes while HMAS Choules was in refit.
Project Outcome
Rubicon Associates completed the design package contributing to effective wet exhaust compartment re-designation as store rooms and machinery spaces.
