Commonwealth Onsite Representative for the Construction of two AOR Ships
Navy Vessel Class: The Royal Australian Navy (RAN) commissioned the construction of two AOR ships to replace HMAS Success and HMAS Sirius. The ships’ primary functions are to carry fuel, dry cargo, water, food, ammunition, equipment and spare parts for deployed naval or combat forces operating far from port for long periods.

Rubicon Associates was selected to provide Program and Product Management Services and Support, which included the placement of a Commonwealth Onsite Representative during the construction of the AORs at the Navantia shipyard in Ferrol, Spain.
Project Outcome
Rubicon Associates provided independent schedule monitoring, construction monitoring and collation of necessary evidence to assist the Commonwealth to ensure that the suppliers met the requirements of the SEA 1654 Phase 3 Maritime Operational Support Capability (MOSC) Program.
